What to feed a pomegranite shrub. Are they acid or alkaline?

What kind of fertilizer to use on pomegranate shrub. Are they alkaline or acid plants? I have a fifteen year old bush doing well but have never found out what to feed it.
Hi, Pat --
Pomegranates are native to Iran and are pretty tolerant of all soils which aren't too wet. They prefer a neutral pH yet don't like rich soil, so you don't need to feed your pomegranate bush if it is doing well.
