Finding the right vegetables for my yard

backyard garden beds
I live on a saltwater lagoon and I am in my second year growing vegetables (trying), so far I have had some success with tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and beans, but no luck with onions, peppers, herbs, potatoes, squash, broccoli, spinach, etc. (Obviously my climate is not right for many of these). I want to be able to grow and produce as much of my food as possible on my somewhat small lot and need help with design and planning to account for the salty soil, flooding, wind, and heat. I have 4 raised beds currently but am considering a more in depth design with seasonal edibles all around the house. Seeking design advice, plant type advice, and all permaculture events available to learn, see, do.
Hi, Erica -
Your questions are beyond the scope of this forum - answering even one of these would take more room than we have here.
